micromanagement majorly, no matter how many complaints are given to senior management or boots management, your every move is watched. Very intense company to work for, not enjoyable

Pros

I run into the best fellow creative freelancers while working in this industry. THAT right there, can’t be taken away.

Cons

No employee discounts. Please offer employee discounts to freelancers. I am buying my own makeup and not getting gratis. This makes no sense. Make up is basically my “uniform.” I am buying it at full price and I work for Benefit. This is insane. I know my manager gets tons of free makeup and I am given nothing. Make it make sense. I am getting fed up. I am not entitled, but I feel like there should be an explanation to this. It’s a cosmetics job. Every review even says perks are free makeup. I can’t even get a discount or one mascara?! Am I crazy? I’ve even țasked my manager with nothing given yet. What’s worst is when customers ask how I like particular products and I have to lie because I don’t know. I haven’t bought it yet. Usually Is test products out and let customers know my review and help them love it passionately like I do. It’s hard to test the newest mascara when testers on display aren’t necessarily sanitary or the lip products aren’t either. I can’t even swatch it on my arm, but not on my lips. I have to buy it myself. I’m tired of buying it though.
