      Pros

      Good benefits, flexible work environment/hours, telecommuting available for many jobs, good job security. The company seems to care about its employees and their wellbeing.

      Cons

      The company headquarters is in Exton, PA, but it is also composed of many smaller acquisitions. It feels like there are more career opportunities for the Exton employees than for acquisition employees. Career paths and opportunities for advancement are not clearly defined. The focus seems to be more on software maintenance than on software innovation or new product creation.

      Pros

      This company has real good work life balance. I love to be here mainly because of this reason.

      Cons

      the interviews are not technical enough even for software engineer position. Programming only accounts for a very small portion of the interview!

      Good company, upper management (the five Bentley brothers) are very solid but middle management is highly political.

      Solutions that are technically innovative but rarely achieve depth in any one discipline (other than the core MicroStation and ProjectWise products).

      Cons

      Lots of politics, positioning and squabbling in middle-management. Because the company is privately held it is difficult to move very high up, so management just keeps shuffling the deck.
