Do not work here

Pros

The only pro of working here is getting to know other employees - met some awesome people.

Cons

Where do I even start? They are the farthest from being a “family orientated” company. They work you like a dog, making you work 40+ hours a week and every Saturday so you never see your family, and then spit you out when you’re no longer needed. They do not care about you whatsoever. The benefits are terrible for families. They pay you nothing, but all the GMs and VPs and high up employees are living large. You will be nothing in this company if you don’t have a connection to one of the Bergstrom’s. All together a terrible company to work for.

Pros

None, none, none, none, none

Cons

Do NOT work for Bergstrom. Horrible company, poor management, no training, promises not kept, low salary. Moved my life, sold my house, etc for promises that were NOT kept!! Did not have the job opening they promised, was never a welcoming environment. I kept a positive attitude trying to make the new position work, after all I had sold my house and relocated to work here what else could I do?? Needless to say, I quit and never looked back

Pros

This is a large, financially secure organization with some experieinced people in management. Facilities are usually well kept and cleaner than most dealerships. Mr. Bergstrom is not afraid to spend money on facilities.

Cons

Although Mr. Bergstrom is willing to spend money on facilities, he certainly doesn't spend it on employees. Most find it impossible to get a raise...even for cost of living...ever. The Bergstrom's flaunt their wealth (driving Bentleys, new Ferraris, etc.) while paying their people little. Unless you are in the families inner circle (meaning you married into it or are immediate family), it is hard to get ahead. Nepotism is alive and well. Benefits are fair, at best. Insurance is very expensive, time off is minimal. The senior management beleives everyone should work al lthe time, just like they do. The problem of course is they don't want to pay you anything. You end up working lots of hours and often your family suffers. There is a lot of turnover.
