Pros

Excellent leadership, clear strategy, quality training opportunities for staff. They provide a quality product to their clients. This firm is competitive but not as cut-throat as a Big 4 which fosters a better training environment for newer staff.

Cons

Client base is mostly closely-held small businesses, therefore there isn't a lot of opportunity to get exposure to public traded companies. Also, a lot of their clients are in rural areas of New England which makes travel not as appealing as going to major cities.

Not only did I learn extensive accounting skills that I will take with me for the rest of my career but I also learned the importance of building a great team! Some specifics: team bonding activities, mentoring programs, supportive of continuing education, friendly people & atmosphere, open to new ideas, variety of career advancement oportunities etc.

Cons

I can't really name anything specific here. If I had to say anything it would be not wanting to leave!
