Pros

Great atmosphere. You work with great people, you will make a lot of friends working there. They have some good policies in place to show you that they appreciate the work you do for them. The general idea is great and they definitely have some good ideas. How they are executed is a different story.

Cons

Not very good advancement opportunities. If you do a good job or you try to do a good job, maybe eventually you will get recognized. Also be ready to be policed. Everything that you do will be evaluated, 0 latitude for errors or ingenuity. They want you to do something in one way and if you don't you will be talked to. Maybe they should hire robots to do the job exactly how they want it

Pros

I would have to go with the discounts as the number one. Then I would say probably, the people you work with, being able to learn about the newest electronics out and coming soon. Last, I would have to say being able to help a customer who doesn't quite know whats out there and available understand all the benefits of the new technology.

Cons

THE PAY!!!! I've been working at Best Buy for oh about 2 1/2 years, so last week I got my W-2 and I noticed something very funny when I looked at my pay that I actually brought home. The funny thing was that just a day prior I had one single sale that was pretty much half of what I made last year, the sale was about 9000. The worst thing about it all is one, how long I've been there, second, I've been full time for about a year and half, third, I'm a Customer Assistant, which means basically you walk around helping customers wherever they need help, whichever department it is in. So that means I know almost as much about every single department as the people who only work in one specific department know about their department, but in a lot of cases I actually know more. Oh and also, they can't hire in C.A.'s because it would take much longer to do the training rather then single departments so my one question is, if they only hire in to single departments because that new employee won't know as much about everything, let alone their own department then why do they get paid more? Oh yea, that is one little thing I left out, people hired after me get payed more. That is the downside.
