Pros

There is a LOT of opportunity here to make your own schedule, really run your own business (as a branch of BVM), and make some serious money. The founder delivers the training himself and is passionate about his business. Plus, it's a product that you can believe in. It really is appreciated by the communities.

Cons

Oh wow. I had never done cold calling, and by the second day, I was in shambles. I get it that once you get used to it it becomes easier, but I couldn't handle it. You have to be able to handle a LOT of rejection before you get your magazine off the ground. At training, they focus on hype, energy, and just "making the calls," but you need to be the right kind of person for this. I was not, and I spent several hundred dollars to fly up for training. If you can do cold interactions with a script, this is an AMAZING opportunity, no joke.

Pros

You get to offer a great and unique product that can be very beneficial for many local businesses. You set your own hours and have the opportunity to be very successful. They are upfront with you and don't hold anything back about the job. They have a great company culture that is very motivational and inspiring. The commission and residual is great for long-term income. They have a great CEO and awesome Management!

Cons

The salary is commission only and at the beginning there is little or no income. They are aware of this though and it is a part of the job. Depending on your location you can feel isolated and everything is on you and what you can bring to the table.

Pros

I have been working with BVM as a magazine publisher since June 2016. I have been very impressed with the corporate culture, the compensation structure and the initial and ongoing training programs. As a busy community member and mom, this position gives me the flexibility to live a full, well-rounded life as well as pursue my passions of assisting businesswomen, growing businesses and connecting & empowering community businesses. BVM gives me the autonomy in my career to grow my business and shape it into something that fits my community and my lifestyle. They are helpful, accessible and open to new ideas and an entrepreneurial spirit. I am loving publishing my own magazine, growing my business, helping grow the businesses in my community, and producing a fun, informative magazine for my neighbors. The feedback to my new venture from the neighbors and businesses has been wholly positive and I look forward to many fun-filled productive years to come.

Cons

I'll let you know. So far, so good. :)
