-Very rewarding experience working with the students -Management is usually flexible -Coworkers and managers are fun to work with

Cons

-The company model for how classes should be run is nearly impossible to follow with large classes -Understaffed -Pay is not competitive with other tutoring/enrichment companies. -Management is beginning to lose their small business friendliness and flexibility. The company is becoming too big too fast -Pay scale for development is far too low to make the extra work appealing

Pros

Some of the site managers (mine in particular) were excellent and made working here bearable. And there is some flexibility in gaining more hours if you wanted to fill in for other tutors. Also, working with young kids can be very rewarding at times.

Cons

The owners are cheap.. I worked for two years without a raise. When I asked for a raise of more than $1 they refused. I got nothing but excellent reviews from my manager, but apparently that wasn't good enough. There's a relatively high turn-over rate because there's not much room for growth and there's no set pay-raise scale.

The management offers opportunities to increase the number of scheduled work hours if willing and able to work flexible hours at multiple locations. Fellow staff are friendly.

Cons

Having multiple scheduled hours without a break is not uncommon. Some parents' expectations do not reasonably reflect the students' abilities.
