Pros

Opportunity to grow in your career if you want it. Not a lot of red-tape or unnecessary process. Operates more like a start-up, you are given a lot of autonomy to solve the problems you are facing. You can learn a lot and gain exposure to areas of the business that wouldn't normally be in your scope at a large company. Management is supportive and you are given a lot of trust as long as you do the right thing. Amazing perks, excellent work-life balance, and some very smart people that you get to learn from. As long as you are doing what is right for the business and working hard, you will love working for Overstock.

Cons

There are some people that have been given opportunities because they have been around since the beginning, but they are not effective and have no other business perspective. Departments could be better are cross-collaboration to minimize duplicate efforts.

Pros

- Friendly environment - Great Employee Perks (Onsite gym, cafeteria, coffee/juice bar, masseuse, onsite clinic) - Fun Company wide events - Innovative initiatives - Large company growth - Great work-life Balance

Cons

I have no cons as of working here, it is a place that is constantly changing, so if you aren't able to be fluid and flexible, it won't be the place for you.

Pros

I like to think of working at Overstock as a being in a startup with the backstop of a large and stable company. The opportunities are nearly endless, and the projects we work on, while clearly moving toward a multi-year vision, are iterative and inform what follows; so while the multi-year is clear, the 3-6 month isn't always due to the nature of working on greenfield projects at the bleeding edge of technology. The great thing about that is that each person gets to help define how we get to our end game, while having clarity around what that end game is.

Cons

Overstock isn't a great place for people who are uncomfortable operating in the unknown. Unfortunately, the fact is that when you're building things that haven't been built before, that's exactly where you have to operate.
