      Stormy Simon Reign of terror is Over.

      Pros

      I was weeks away from quitting and then finally Stormy Simon the president left the company. Right off the bat things are getting better, I see morale going up and people starting to smile again. Sad about all the great people that left because of her, but happy for new people coming in because they will experience a whole new company.

      Cons

      As I said thing are and will get better and so happy I stood my ground and didn't let Stormy run me off. Looking forward to next year and being in our new building.

      Pros

      -you can be yourself -you will learn something new and be challenged daily (It's hard to get bored here) -depending on your department and team, your efforts and hard work will be recognized -you can be 100% honest about issues and thoughts (again, depending on department and team) -health benefits are good (so far)

      Cons

      -the company seems to be in a vicious cycle of reacting instead of implementing strategy -there are many instances in which you will be asked to drop your day-to-day tasks in order to fix something (again, reacting) or work on a zany idea one of the execs had an hour previously. Zany ideas are great. Asking people to drop what they're doing in order to work on an uncharted, poorly thought-out idea is NOT. -PTO isn't that great

      Pros

      Great work life balance. Love my immediate supervisor, management needs direction. Medical benefits suffered in 2015 but now are on track.

      Cons

      Get some management in the company who knows on-line business and who has been in retailing. Most of the management has never worked anywhere else other than Overstock. There is another world out there other than Sale Lake City. Salaries still need improvement to be competitive.
