Pros

It is a good environment to work in and relatively relaxed for the type of work involved. The pay is good and the job is stable.

Cons

It is still retail customer service. Most of the cons are to do with the work not the actual company. The job does get rather stressfull during the holidays and has little time off, right when most would like to be spending more time with their familys; an unfortunate effect of working in retail.

Pros

Patrick Byrne is one of the most caring, Knowledgeable people I have ever worked for. I feel that this company actually cares and acknowledges the fact that I have a family, and Family comes first.

Cons

MORE LOCATIONS! Other than that, I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

Pros

Overstock.com pays their employees fairly well for starting out. They do provide their empolyees with two fifteen minute breaks and one thirty minute lunch.

Cons

They do not pay their employees due to experience. I have been in the customer survice industry for the past nine years and make the same as a kid in high school that works at Overstock.com. Sicne I have been with Overstock.com I have slowly grown to wonder how they have been around for ten years. The company stress how important customer satisfaction is, yet management stress getting a certain amount of contacts, which leads employees to cut corners on doing their job. Rather than taking the time in reading what is going on in a particular incident, employees will touch the incident enough to make a "contact out of it". If the economy was not in the shape that it is in and jobs where readily available, I would leave Overstock.com and go to where the work that I do can be appreciated.
