Pros

The upside at Bio-Rad is definitely the stability and compensation. If you want, you can work there for most of your life, having 3-7 different positions. Bio-Rad loves to promote and hire from within. Plus, with the company continuously doing well, buying the stock options is a big bonus.

Cons

This is where you've got to fight your inner demons with Bio-Rad. If you like latest technologies, products that release to market quickly (less than a year), then Bio-Rad is not your place. You've got relax here and go with the flow. The culture is even depressingly behind in standards by recognizing empty seats and not recognizing performance. Plus, if you feel Bio-Rad is a career between careers, well, be careful. Your skills may fall way behind depending on your background.

Pros

Bio-rad is a great place to work. The company's philosophy is family oriented and therefore makes for a lot of care for its people in the benefits and salary that it gives.

Cons

Bio-rad is a slow growing company which makes for a stable environment but also means that the budget can be tight for bonuses.

Pros

Open information, can learn a lot.

Cons

No training structure. Many two-faced employees. Some unhealthy competition amongst employees. Supervisor uses public means for vengeance on private issues. Passive-aggressive leadership. Middle management lacks authority.
