      Supportive coworkers but management struggles with workload issues

      Pros

      Lower level groups were great to work with. The job itself was routine enough that it was easy to learn. Its a great entry job as you have to pick up many skills in a short period of time.

      Cons

      Management has no idea what it takes to do the tasks they ask of us with little time. Everything is on rush and half the equipment is outdated and constantly failing. New equipment takes forever to validate, if it ever does. You're constantly asked to help other understaffed groups, even if yours is also understaffed. Communication does not go far with upper management as most of them are also overloaded with work and don't actually understand what is needed for jobs to be done.

      -Hybrid setup works well. -Compensations are okay if you know how to negotiate. -Earlier on, colleagues were very helpful and willing to share knowledge. In recent years, the environment has become more siloed and less collaborative.

      Cons

      -management are very politics. -Experienced challenges with fairness and consistency in how management handled decisions. -Promotion decisions did not always appear consistent. In some cases, individuals were promoted multiple levels within a short period (around six months), which made the process feel less transparent. -employees who maintained closer relationships with management had greater job security. Otherwise, you will be not saved.
