      Loads of talented and bright people, with good ideas, actively ruined by lackluster (at best) management.

      Fantastic colleagues, great campus, get to work on cutting edge biomedical devices and software, laid back atmosphere reflects family business mentality

      Cons

      Through countless projects I have seen first-hand how management has actively squandered both ideas and talent. The solution always seemed throw more management at the problem which naturally made things worse

      Pros

      Steady job - if you keep your head down, and don't have to many ideas on how to change stuff around the company, you can stay employed for a long time and keep getting paid a decent salary.

      Cons

      This company values tenure over everything else. There is no option to get promoted for performance, even if it is outstanding! The only way to get promoted is to stay at biorad long enough. At the same time the company does not punish laziness. Lack of rewards for performance and lack of punishment for laziness breeds an entire class of useless employees that do nothing but drink their coffee and write endless chains of emails.
