Absolutely none for working at BAL

Cons

Poor management— they are always lying (direct managers AND upper management) Poor communication No bonuses or incentives No morale No reason to look forward to going to work It is an overall terrible company and atmosphere to work in Unrealistic expectations Manager privilege Started taking anxiety medication and seeing a therapist just to cope with working here.

Good place to learn but you have to do it on your own

Cons

Everything is always changing, they call it improvement, but the upper management does not engage people in the lab. There is a lot of distrust of upper management, There seems to be a very defined hierarchy and if you are not friends with management you will be overlooked and underappreciated. It is not how hard you work but who you are buddies with. Also, the goals keep increasing but not the personnel. Finally, merit increases have been all but frozen and there is zero transparency because your manager will say you are doing great, but come review time what you have been hearing all year just does not materialize and you are stuck hoping you get recognized the following year. That is why there is a lot of turn around in my opinion.
