Overworked and underpaid compared to the competition. I would put in 10-12 hour days consistently. Got hired as a study coordinator, promoted to a PM, micromanaged by my manager, then told my HR that there had been documentation as to why they were letting me go. I asked what that documentation was, never received it. There was also a mass layoff I heard from coworkers so it was a convenient excuse so I didn’t have to get paid a severance. Managers constantly felt threatened and would dump work onto subordinates while spending their time worrying about how money was getting spent and who would be fired next.
