- Friendly and knowledgeable colleagues and leaders - Focus on helping patients through scientifically sound therapeutics - Strong scientific background across all levels of leadership

Cons

- Not as commercially oriented as big pharma - Financially ok for a few years but need additional revenue streams to maintain the operation - Certain decision-making and problem-solving processes are inefficient because Germany makes the final decision. US IT can't even restart the WiFi without approval and help from Germany

Pros

There are a lot of interesting science projects, people are collaborative and engaged. You expected to stay on par with new literature, and can bring interesting paper to a journal club and develop it into a project. Initiative is welcomed. People are supportive, kind and professional. I love benefits, salary compensation and all extra activities organized by HRs to bring people together, such as running events, team outings, etc. Work-life balance is respected, having kids is encouraged, which is such a change from academia :)

Cons

Green card application can be initiated only after a year, can be an issue for internationals.
