Pros
Good science and great location in Cambridge. Modern office spaces and facilities are good. Genuine interest and concerns for patients.
Cons
So many time I have heard "this is the Biogen way". Do not propose any changes, do not criticise processes or anyone who has been with the company longer than you have. You have only been employed to confirm the Biogen process is the best. When I joined I thought this the greatest company ever.... now "tightening the belt" means that all fun has gone. There used to be Newspapers, Christmas parties, monthly birthday cake celebrations, breakfast social meetings, brown bag training lunches, external meetings, training events and travel between sites to meet colleagues. All this has now stopped. Everyone now lives in fear for their jobs and keeping head down. In three years every person I have befriended has gone or been let go.
