Pros

Biogen embraces new employees and nurtures them with a solid platform to be successful in their career. The work culture and work/life balance is amazing. They truly have one of the good benefits package (Please don't just look at the salary alone as a compensation, but look at total compensation with benefit). There is a huge scope for scientific innovation, loads of internal trainings, LinkedIn trainings, cross functional career moves presents one with excellent career development opportunities along with amazing people makes Biogen a best place to work. Biogen also rewards their long standing employees with extra vacation, sabbatical etc.

Cons

Salary scale can change with different groups within Biogen even for same titles and compared to market. Recently, HR has done a lot of level adjustments to ensure people are compensated with experience and inline with internal equity. If you are someone looking for fast growth in short span of time, then it is not the place unless you are in right high priority projects. If you are someone who wants to invest time and grow deeper into science/technology development then Biogen is a place for you. Overall, I love working here and it depends on the group, coworkers and manager.

Pros

I can’t think of many. My co workers and the people I work with directly are the only reason I’ve stayed. Working from home is good.

Cons

I’ve been at biogen for five years and have had multiple managers. 9 at the last count — mainly due to people leaving. Biogen doesn’t care about EAs. There is no career discussion or career path here. Go to a smaller company where you can actually make an impact. The EC are ridiculous. A lot of terrible folks who literally YELL at people. People manage UP wonderfully but there are so many people reporting into the EC who are actively trying to leave. Meetings are being scheduled on Sunday nights. I’ve never seen such immature behavior from leadership in my life. Benefits and salary are no longer competitive. There’s no incentives to stay. HR told people that their incentive to stay is because they “love” their job. Get real. Morale is incredibly low and people are working 12 hour days. A real mess.
