Pros

decent benefits, competitive salary, bonus, aws (they call it holiday allowance), and quite flexible working hours. most staffs come to work at around 10-11am.

Cons

Very traditional Chinese work culture — not necessarily bad, but it may not be for everyone. Expect long hours, little progression, and a top-down style of management. You’ll need to be fluent in Chinese (reading, typing, and speaking) since it’s used daily. Mistakes aren’t tolerated, and errors are sometimes called out publicly in slack groups. Some older team members (those staying 3-5years) can be unfriendly or dismissive toward new joiners, but most people just adapt to the environment over time. No diversity as well.

Pros

The people I work in with Singapore is great and friendly. Mostly younger crowd between mid 20s and not many older than 40, resulting in a modern way of communicating and working. Decent benefits, HR and admin do their best to keep employees happy. Company is generous in good times and subpar in bad times, in a cyclical crypto derived market, values loyalty.

Cons

Culture could still feel Chinese for some although company has taken dramatic steps towards embracing a more western culture, thus non-chinese might find it daunting to fit in certain business units, not impossible. Upper management could treasure loyalty to a fault, resulting in many stalwarts in the company that used to be good but became complacent; now doing less in roles and positions that demands more, including leading and managing people. Frustrating when you are directly on the other side of this, and even if not, it's deadweight for the company.

Pros

The teammates based in the US are professional and possess good common sense. However, leaders from Asia could benefit from improving their leadership skills.

Cons

Everything is completely controlled by Singapore; there is zero autonomy, lack of true transparency, although they refuse to acknowledge this reality. If you're recruited by a Singapore-based Bitdeer recruiter, insist on having all promises in writing. Their understanding of US norms is very limited, and many assurances may be exaggerated.
