Pros

- young and talented colleagues - interesting projects - working with new technologies - developing new innovative products - great and relaxing work atmosphere

Cons

- you have no growing perspective - after a while (a few years) you almost stop from learning and the routine gets you - the firm invests very little in trainings almost all its employs have to learn on their own. The up side of this are the colleagues cause you can learn a lot form some of them.

Pros

-global and international company based in Romania. -people are generally nice and pleasant to work with. -core anti-malware technology is excellent and regularly wins reviews -lots of problems and places to add value if you can deal with the lack of direction and unstructured environment.

Cons

-Salaries are below market -No stock options -Core business of consumer antivirus and security in decline -Top management suffers from analysis paralysis and have not figured out a new growth strategy -Top Management does not communicate effectively with employees or inspire confidence -Company will probably be acquired in the next 12-24 months meaning no job security.

Pros

BitDefender is one of limited group of software technology companies in Fort Lauderdale. Really good AV consumer AV product. Was a fun place to work before new management was brought in.

Cons

The senior management is based in Romania. Not much is communicated to the rank and file employees. Key employees were let go in 2010 and 2011. Not much depth in the organization. Marketing has been consolidated in Romania; local marketing team just takes what is given to them.
