Pros

You will learn an insane amount on how to development for a large enterprise product if you stick with it. There are many opportunities to grow in the direction that you want. The team is very collaborative and relaxed. You will also make decisions that have tangible and important effects on the product. I started out as a DevOps developer and ended up leading a small engineering team in a couple of years.

Cons

Being a small company may ward some people off, but I personally loved all of the quirks that come with it.

Colleagues are accessible, collaborative, and friendly. Smart owners have put the company on a steady growth path. A healthy environment in regards to workload and expectations.

Cons

Some legacy client are resistant to change as the company grows. Expectations of legacty and big fish clients make adopting healthier development practices difficult.
