      Pros

      Decent pay and benefits. Decent product and support. Wide array of technologies, large domestic footprint. Very good technical support on the Hotline call in service.

      Cons

      You need to accept you are only a number, there is no personal identity. They believe it is ALL ABOUT THE BOTTOM LINE. The truth is that People, are the ones who create the bottom line. The term micro managed is an understatement. There were more UN kept promises than there are minutes in a year. The regional/local management were in so far over their heads, they had to lay on their backs to see daylight.

      Black Box offices benefit from independence

      Pros

      Black Box is a huge company and has all the benefits that go along with their size. However, most of the offices function as independent units of the company and maintain their ability to be nimble and adjust quickly. They also provide small company atmospheres where people really care about what is happening. While I am sure there are some "bad" offices, even two offices in the same area can be completely separate in terms of culture, people, tenure and attitude. Anyone looking for an accurate review of the Black Box office they are considering should pay very close attention to the office being reviewed because if the name doesn't match exactly the review means litte to nothing.

      Cons

      It takes a little longer than normal to get the specific benefit information when you start. They start benefits right away but it takes a while to get the details. The benefits are very generous though so it's worth the wait.

      Pros

      The data center work itself was interesting and there were opportunities to gain exposure to large-scale projects. Some coworkers on-site were supportive and hardworking.

      Cons

      Leadership and communication were extremely inconsistent. There was little structure, minimal training, and employees often felt like they were expected to figure things out on their own without proper support or mentorship. Workloads and expectations changed constantly depending on who you spoke to. The company talks about growth, but many employees are underutilized or not actually developed professionally. It often felt more reactive than organized, especially from upper management. Decisions were made with very little transparency, and morale suffered because of it. There was also a noticeable disconnect between corporate leadership and the realities of what was happening on-site. Many employees felt expendable rather than valued.
