Pros

BlackRock's focus on putting clients first and maintaining high ethical standards are reasons alone to work there. Combine that with the opportunity to work with many intelligent, hard-working individuals is great.

Cons

BlackRock has become a very large firm. Like all large firms, red-tape can increase and it can make the work experience cumbersome at times.

Pros

Vacation time and other benefits are above average, strong career growth opportunities overall, promotion from within is encouraged, work-life balance is better than industry standard.

Cons

Limited professional opportunities outside of major sites (ie -NYC, London, San Francisco), bonuses are far less generous than what was advertised by HR recruiters.
