Pros

The people are the reason to work here. There are a lot of good people. The good hiring practice has dropped off, but there are still plenty of great people.

Cons

Has become a management-heavy organization. There are a lot of managers focusing only on staying above their reports. A recent transaction with BGI and very aggressive attitude towards those employees has put a damper on the culture and enjoyment of working here.

Pros

BlackRock provides great pay and benefits to entry level workers. Also, provides the opportunity to take on as much work as you desire.

Cons

Little respect among coworkers, however, at the same time it feels as if it is just one big boy's club.
