Pros

The team hires lots of young talents and so the culture is pretty nice for young people. The position gives you a overall view and broad exposure to all other teams and products within BlackRock.

Cons

The hours are pretty long, typical hours are 7 to 7 but not overtime during weekends. The work can become very operational and repetitive after you learnt to master all the tools required for this role.

Pros

-Pay is on par with industry standard -Big name

Cons

-There are many different teams within PAG, but there is NO WAY for you to choose or at least know about the teams before you come. So you may end up in a team that you don't fit in. And certainly there are teams that are much worse than others in terms of culture and career prospect. -The work is really technical with heavy use of SQL, Unix, and Perl, and many of the processes involve Aladdin, the in-house tools BlackRock uses. So it's not really a finance job but rather a tech/data job, and the skill set you acquires is very limited, especially if you plan to move to another firm.
