      Pros

      The company has a wide range of products and a name that the public is familiar with. It's good to have Blackbaud on your resume.

      Cons

      They are always looking to purchase smaller companies which usually comes with mass layoffs.

      Pros

      The money is good and the dress code is casual. They have a ping pong table in the office. We are not micromanaged, but are expected to sell. Beer at work (sometimes). Super nice office. Lot's of free food. They bring in massage therapists for us. The health insurance is practically free for Anthem. You can work some days from home if you hit quota.

      Cons

      It's hard to get hired here. They interview a lot of candidates. Non-sales jobs don't pay as well.

      Old school culture compared to other high tech Austin companies

      Pros

      Most of the individual contributors working at Blackbaud do care about the NPO community and want to make a difference with innovative technologies. The Austin office is a great location (Domain), and your job satisfaction is heavily dependent on the specific unit you work within and who you work for.

      Cons

      Blackbaud is very Charleston-centeric; if in a leadership role, it is very difficult to be effective from Austin. Technologies are dated, but the company does have marketshare in the NPO world. Fragmented client experience and very siloed departmentally.
