High work load stressful times

Poor leadership and toxic work environment

Incompetent lawyers who do not care the qualify of work

Bit stuffy, but fine overall

Like many big law firms, Blank Rome has developed into a fiefdom, where each department is like its own country - there is very little collaboration between the departments and departments are loath to refer a client to another department less that department "steal" the client.

The work life balance could be better

Lack of transparency, frozen salaries and bonuses, long hours

better benefits are needed for employees

unqualified employees are promoted to roles that they cannot handle, deserving long-term employees are let go at the drop of a dime, no room for growth on admin side, staff and attorneys are completely separate and they let you know it, NO Holiday bonus - they even got rid of the $50 gift card - while sending numerous firm-wide emails about all the success the firm is having, very very cheap and old fashioned - terrible work environment, especially since new HR brought in
