Square and Cash App are great products that people don't really use. The future is a little uncertain. A POS and banking app are not things that are worth switching over unless there is a significant benefit which neither provide. If you are a restaurant and using toast or a chase/zelle banking customer, there are little incentives for you to make the switch to buy a Square terminal or start using cash app.

Middle and Senior upper management are very inconsistent. Talent changed pretty dramatically over from 2023 to 2026. The main issue is a lack of consistent performance management of their senior leaders. There is a tremendous strain for internal resources which often leads to allocated resources being removed after being green lit. Overall the company struggles with change management. They had hyper growth, purchased BNPL Afterpay and basically had three companies internally, now they are consolidating into 1 but it has been painful.
