Pros

- The Perks and Benefits etc: free food, gym, beautiful workplace - Friendly staff

Cons

- Google Square and you'll see it is rated 2 stars, and for the same complaints that it's merchants have is the a problem that is not getting resolved through the eyes of an employee the turnover rate is huge because they hire on contingent workers with low pay and do not offer upward mobility unless you are white/gay. This company hugely discriminates! Yes you will see a couple specs of minorities around the building but they either work as a janitor or a contingent worker never anything more. So as far as career opportunities there are none. - Square has treated me and my colleagues as if we are invisible. I have no idea who my supervisor is and that is sad. - For the past several months my team has been getting paid to sit here. It may seem like a fun job to sit and do nothing but not when it messes with the overall productivity of the company.

Pros

The people here are really awesome and a lot of teams (at least mine) still remain small, close, and nimble. It's still the kind of place where you don't feel concerned about getting chastised for asking questions, bringing up concerns, or providing feedback. The benefits are great including unlimited PTO and meals. Despite being a Silicon Valley cliche, you really do feel like you are helping people when you eventually speak with merchants that you serve. Town Square is amazing!

Cons

Company grew really fast and it's slowly loosing that "small startup culture" so if you're looking for a tiny startup office this might not be your best bet. Career growth and promotions are also really unclear - every year it seems the review and promotion process changes. Where decisions come from can also be unclear sometimes but they are definitely working on improving in that realm.
