Pros

Friendly culture Good place to join as a new grad and learn. Lots of support and process since it's a large company. I was at Block for 5 years, and I had a great experience for 3.5 of those years, until I joined one of their more fringe divisions which was very poorly run.

Cons

Bureaucratic. This seems to be changing when I left in 2024. A lot of middle manager types were culled.

Flexibility, above average salary for mexican engineers living in Mexico, internal mobility, contained challenges, overall growth.

Cons

Lot of re-orgs have happened during recent years, Cash App and Square do not collab as much as you would imagine.
