Toxic Leadership

Pros

Flexibility with your work schedule and most teams are very respectful for work/life balance. Many great people who stay for the mission, not the organization itself.

Cons

They continuously allow leaders who cost them in lawsuits to stay within the organization. Mediocre leaders are kept which makes you wonder what is really going on behind the scenes. Coker Powell is the real CEO of this organization with Andy Kolb being a puppet for those with far stronger personalities. Organization is on downward spiral and in years time will need to partner with other nonprofits to sustain. Donors are burned out and money is drying up. Trust, I work here and it’s really bad. Cut throat leadership, so it is interesting to see who will through who under the bus to save their jobs. Very pathetic.

Pros

Flexible hours and remote work

Cons

LLS/ BCU is currently laying off employees. The expectation for CDMs is unheard of. 8 meetings per week. They treat this position as a Fortune 500 company…. And it’s a non profit. If you don’t hit your weekly 8 meetings per week, you’re put on a PIP. I left this organization after 6 years and never realized how toxic it really was until I left
