Pros

- Successful company, well oiled machine - If you are in a traveling team: nice hotels, good allowance, fun environment - Large range of products to sell to top companies which keeps things interesting - Good base salary ( but bonus is low and discretionary) which leads to more predictable earnings - Good work life balance: 8am to 6pm and you are done at 6pm most of the times

Cons

- A lot of employees stay there for 10+ years because it is a nice and comfortable job, but if you stay there too long it can be difficult to find another job later - You have to start your career at the Helpdesk, which many people don't enjoy - You have a quota of visits, which works well for the business but can lead to unnecessary/uninteresting meetings for sales reps - As with all very large companies, managers don't have much room to innovate - Micro management

Pros

Bloomberg does try to match you as best as they can to a team that you want. It’s cool to work on such an important piece of software too (the Bloomberg terminal). Also, the philanthropy program is quite good. Compensation and benefits are competitive

Cons

While there are opportunities for growth and learning, you are still bounded by Bloomberg architecture to an extent, but teams are moving towards utilizing more industry standard practices
