Pros

None ice cream gives you the runs, and no time for work life balance because the only thing they care about is Ice cream on the shelf not you or your family.

Cons

Upper management micro manages you to the TEE,but only if you are not one of their little flunkies. If you have a job keep it don't leave it for this it will be from bad to worse I PROMISE,one of if not the worse job I ever had. And turnover is very high 6 months max.

Pros

Free ice cream on breaks, CO-OP program with the local high school, hiring process was not too difficult, you can take off days as needed.

Cons

The pay was terrible, Your superiors and coworkers are terrible, and this town and company in general are terrible. I was shocked to see how the people in this town behave. I moved here with my husband because of a job transfer and I never expected this town to be so backwards and unwelcoming. I'm surprised I even received the job, not being a Brenhamite myself. I was definitely treated differently after people learned I was from another town. Everyone in Brenham is extremely narrow minded and rude. If you're from out of town no one is excepting and I've heard it takes an upward of 20 years for people to even consider you worthy of being included. The people act very cliquish at any age. I felt like I was in high school all over again. The men here are very sexist, racist and ignorant. The woman work the hardest and are not rewarded for this. No women ever receive promotions. Minimum wage without the chance of growth for women is not fair by any account. I would not recommend this job to anyone unless you are born and raised in Brenham and have the same small town outlook on life and never plan on changing or making enough money to support a family.

Pros

Free annual work boots and hearing test

Cons

When compared to other manufacturing facilities of this size, Blue bell is on the bottom of the list for wages, cleanliness, fair labor practices for employees and management is very sexist towards women employees. Blue bell as a company underpay their employees with low annual pay raises and use deceitful tactics when hiring new employees by over compensating the details of the company’s benefits and annual bonuses.
