Pros

Challenging and fast paced. Lots of opportunities to directly contribute to hardware and certification of components actually going to space.

Cons

Management does not insulate you from schedule pressure from all the way up to the CEO and Jeff, and if you're unlucky enough to work on a high priority item, expect to work long hours, be discouraged from taking PTO, and constantly answer for why you are behind.

Pros

Very talented and motivated engineers

Cons

Lots of non-technical management managing technical direct reports Lack of career growth Monopoly money stock options Bonuses only given to level 4 and above despite majority of work being done by level 1-3 engineers Constant reorgs. Varies from just changing manager to switching to an entirely different program/discipline Vaporware; lots of programs have design changes that keep sending you back to square 1. Makes you feel like what you work on will never get launched. Management taken over by Amazon
