Pros

Designing and testing rocket components was exhilarating. It was fun while lasted but the new ceo Dave limp is of the culture of firing and hiring constantly so you're always potentially on the chopping block.

Cons

No clear vision, weak management, upper management is like a revolving door. I've been in industry for 30 years and I never saw so much churn in upper and middle management. All the churn results in no clear direction with a lemur type attitude. We all focus on this... OK now we all focus on this no wait let's all focus on this... It's amazing that new Glenn actually launched.

Pros

-The work itself is very cool -All the folks at individual contributor levels are phenomenal to work with and create a fantastic collaborative culture

Cons

-Blue as a whole struggles with having global tools to track work so lots of work is tracked on individual spreadsheets and creates lots of opportunities for things to slip through the cracks which creates panic to claw back schedule -All schedules are grossly unrealistic leading folks to either struggle to hit these unrealistic timelines and burn out or laugh in the face of schedule and not have any real targets to work towards

Pros

Pay was decent. Benefits good. Colleagues were great.

Cons

Disorganized and trying to function without a real charter or goal post. Management not held accountable. Leadership not interested in empowering people but is interested in managing with fear. New mandate that every team has to have a low performer, at least one, that gets fired, which leads to terrible morale and damages any attempt at collaboration. The company would rather rule with a stick instead of a carrot. The new 50-hour workweek norm really means 60.
