      Good opportunities, but inconsistent

      Pros

      You could get exposed to a lot of engineering areas and have responsibilities way above your level, which makes you learn quick. A lot of folks with a ton of engineering experience willing to share it and help you figure things out.

      Cons

      Getting recognized for that work monetarily is a challenge, as there are hard gatekeeping limits on tenure and practically no salary adjustments other than yearly merit increase. NO yearly bonuses to anyone under level 4, so don't believe the recruiters.
