Pros

I work on a great team, the work is challenging but fulfilling.

Cons

Pay could be more, but can’t it always be more?

Pros

Innovation, room for creativity, lots of opportunities for growth, powerful mission to follow, extracurricular events and clubs, fair wages, good benefits.

Cons

Matrix organization = too many cooks in the kitchen. Problematic leaders are moved around or put on "special projects" where instead they should be managed out. People managers don't have the tools to be successful. The personal reward for delivering results is greater than the reward for the company doing well as a whole, creating a myopic environment where toxic behavior is rewarded and promoted.

Pros

Incentives are becoming fewer and fewer. There are smart people working here but we're so resource constrained that the constant friction from competing priorities makes accomplishing even the most basic tasks challenging and exhausting.

Cons

- HR is imposing crazy policies like Work From Work, limiting internal mobility, forced ranking, limiting promotions, basically doing everything they can to drive attrition - This is despite every major program being grossly behind schedule. - Senior leadership will routinely pick mid career employees to pin failures onto. Wrong place at the wrong time? Get blamed for years of bad decisions from before you joined. - 401k and benefits are middling at best - Work life balance is a joke. It's not uncommon to be stuck working 80 hour weeks because of headcount limitations.
