Pros

Good work/life balance, at least from my perspective, Nice facilities for employees - break rooms, food trucks, gyms, etc. Inclusive and accepting environment

Cons

Fast paced with too many things seen as 'immediately urgent' when they really aren't, Vaguely cultish when it comes to "Team Blue" mentality, But I feel its more to encourage team work and comradery Rapid changes in business unit alignments and nearly whip-lash shifts in priority sometimes

Cool projects, great engineers, good resources.

Cons

Top heavy leadership. Small projects loaded with directors and senior systems engineers, and architects without design engineers. Unclear direction and poor leadership skills. Lay-off or fire low performers instead of committing to training and developing people. Jeff has big pocket books for some projects and others don't see a lick of it. Some business units forced to be profitable most are not.

Great community everyone is very nice and eager to tell you about their work.

Cons

Washington is crazy expensive but this is coming from a life long Texan but if your from the East Coast or other part of the country where the cost of living is higher then you probably won’t notice a huge difference.
