Pros

Depending on which part of the company you're in and what team you're on, you may have a great team structure and be encouraged and advocated for by your manager. I can 100% say I've had this experience at this company, at some point in time.

Cons

Way too many re-organizations and re-structures. It's jarring and disruptive to a person's career and the project's potential for growth. Company structure is different depending which part of the company you end up in. There are teams in this company that expect you to devote your entire life to working, but don't want to give you a generous raise to compensate.

Absolutely no potential for career growth.

Pros

Decent pay and your standard benefits.

Cons

Don't be fooled by the "equity" program they have (only if the company goes public...which everything thinks will never happen). Lack of diverse leadership - from all intersecting aspects. Lack of formal Talent Management and Professional Development opportunities. Employee Groups are frowned upon and seen as a waste of time/effort. You can be a top performer one day, then let go the next day. No one knows how they make those decisions...even those in HR.

Pros

The company offered four weeks of PTO, which was combined with sick leave. While this can be seen as both a pro and a con, depending on how you use it, it was a benefit to consider. Additionally, the overall benefits package was decent.

Cons

During my time at Blue Origin, I found that the HR management was often disorganized and struggled to provide clear direction. There was a noticeable lack of support from both my team and my manager, which significantly impacted my overall experience. When I was laid off, the process left me feeling undervalued and questioning my professional skills and knowledge. The work environment at Blue Origin can be extremely demanding, to the point where it feels like you are being pushed to your limits. Unfortunately, this environment contributed to my personal struggles and self-doubt. Based on my experience, I would advise HR professionals to carefully consider this workplace. The support and recognition you might expect may not be present, and the demands can be overwhelming.
