Pros

I really have nothing good to say about this job just don't apply in DC for headquarters or sales department. Stay safe and from the BS

Cons

Felt like I was racially profiled. At the headquarters in Georgetown, all the African Americans are in one hot room. Nobody of other color speaks to you unless they need to work you! Very rude and very unlikely place to work at! Everything about it is a con just don't waste your time working here or in the sales. The management is terrible nobody speaks to you. Most of them have attitudes. If you get hired stay to yourself

Poor management

Pros

Lots of gratis, opportunities for growth in product knowledge. A lot of work variation.

Cons

Management has the worst skills when it comes to conflict resolution between employees. They'd rather shrug off your concerns then find a solution. Also all the heads don't know what the other is doing so there is frequent conflicting instruction from the upper management and lack of consistency with policy from store to store. The company's technology is cheap and archaic. There's no proper software the track sales, spa appointments, and client information. And apparently corporate managers wear more the one hat and work in multiple departments so there's no dedicated HR department so no one knows who to talk to. Speaking to upper management out of rank about grievances beyond your district manager and store manager is strongly discouraged. So if you get the door slammed in your face early there's no hope for a solution.

Pros

Gratis and full time hours. Wonderful freelancers come in almost daily to help with the sales floor. Great product lines

Cons

Zero communication within the company and no one has any time to help the managers if they have questions . Goals set way to high and completely unobtainable. Feels like my job is constantly in jeopardy even though I am very well qualified for the position
