Cons

Bluevine hired a ton of customer support agents in SLC to then just lay most of them off and then outsource those jobs to India, customer support is understaffed after layoffs, the company, culture and role as changed so much since layoffs, Bluevine is no longer a company worth working for

Pros

Cons

Bluevine isn't set up for growth. It's a startup that's been around for more than a decade. Senior leadership is far removed from the day-to-day needs of employees. In all hands last year, the CEO promoted hate speech using words such as "eradicate." I've seen abuse, retaliation, sexism, and more. When these were addressed with HR, the experiences were minimized, victims were gaslit, and nothing was done. Multiple people have said this is not a "safe" environment. Senior leadership decision-making is based on short-term thinking, forcing employees to shift focus every 2-3 weeks with little to no resources. Most teams are understaffed. It's a "do more with less" mentality. This results in overworked employees and burnout. There have been regular layoffs since I started. They've averaged 2 per year. Senior leaders require employees to be "grateful" for having a job and are strongly encouraged to act accordingly. Senior leaders lack trust in employees and leadership. Most (if not all) decisions go through senior leaders only. They forced multiple people to work during their parental leave.

We take employee complaints seriously and take appropriate steps to investigate and respond.
