Pros

-The people: I've met some of the smartest, hardest working people here at BlueVine. Everyone from associate level to the executives are always available and willing to chat. -The Culture: BlueVine really cares about your professional development as well as your work life balance and everyone is very transparent/honest. The offices are open floorplan, we can plan fun events and you're encouraged to always keep learning.

Cons

-There have been a lot of changes in leadership in the last 1-2 years. Naturally this means a lot of changes in our processes (sometimes too quickly). However I think this issue has been addressed and executives are encouraging new managers to not make changes right away and allowing existing team members to provide input which has been helpful. -Hard time asking for and receiving new hires (or hiring quickly), some teams are understaffed.

Pros

$23 an hour with two $100 stipends No weekends! No late hours! Every once and a while you’ll get bougie cupcakes/chocolates from NYC

Cons

Nobody knows how to do anything. Policies change constantly and are not properly communicated. Recent changes to our banking partner have made the last three weeks a nightmare. Thousands of payments not clearing because this wasn’t handled properly and our response is, “it’s not us!”. BV will do anything to keep from fixing problems easily. We close accounts like they’re windows and once they’re closed, good luck getting your money. And it’s us who have to take these things on the chin. They have ‘support’ for us who are there to just repeat these awful Google Docs and Slides that are most likely already out of date. You’re put into a team and you’ll never speak to half of them. Camaraderie is non existent if you take COVID seriously at all. Expectations are unrealistic and harsh. You’re given no leeway in receiving calls. No prep, no end of day time. You’re expected to clock in earlier to set yourself up which takes forever on the craptops they give us. You get laptops but they’re are the bottom of the barrel and they sound like a jet engine. You can’t take phone calls and use chrome at the same time but it’s the entire job. The ONLY thing that’s keeps me here is the money.

Pros

The company recruits pretty good developers and great people overall. Most of the technological part is sound but sometimes not very advanced or cutting edge.

Cons

Bad management both upper-level and senior-level. They take bad decisions and cannot double-back - the employees takes the fall.
