Cons

It’s a ministry, pay reflects it. It’s an educational institution, enrollment is a constant challenge.

I love working for BJU, the people are great. The atmosphere is spiritually up building, People pray for each other here. As a photographer I have a lot of creative freedom.

Cons

Burn out + very poor pay. The university is struggling financially. They can't pay their employees a living wage. A lot of employees need to moonlight with additional jobs on top of their full time work for BJU. Or their spouse is the breadwinner. Or in some cases they made their living elsewhere and are ministering at BJU as their retirement job. And on top of that the departments are shrinking with the demand of those departments not shrinking. So everyone is very over worked.
