For full time staff and faculty, the pay is pretty low for an educational institution. But they are working to get pay up to standard. The school is going through a lot of transition with a new president and they are trying to find their place in an increasingly diversified educational marketplace. A school known for being fundamentalist christian, they are trying to distance themselves from the negatives of fundamentalism (legalism, external focus, harshness), while not leaving a solid commitment to God's truth. As such, there are often tensions that come along with change. This is definitely not a place for people who aren't committed Christians.
