Pros

Good benefits, awesome 401k match, good tuition reimbursement, 1.5 weeks off at Christmas, good PTO, typically flexible schedule (but depends on the team). Relatively easy to move around in the company once you are in. Different programs might as well be different companies. Culture and expectations can vary so widely from team to team. Job security, barely anyone gets fired from the Boeing company... just charge your time properly and use common sense. There are a ton of discounts at varying companies and services for being a Boeing employee. Volunteer time/donation matching is great for supporting causes you care about.

Cons

Red Tape and bureaucracy can make you crazy. So many steps to get anything done, tons of delays. Easy to fall through the cracks for career development if you don't get a good manager or advocate for yourself. Taking another job from an internal posting will grow your salary and level way faster than staying on one team (sadly) so continuity of subject matter experts is not being built from the newer generation... but can you blame them? The company does training and encouragement for inclusion & no tolerance for sexual harassment, but it is a VERY big company, so each team/division is its own world. As a female engineer, I've experienced sexual harassment on 3 different teams, and only one instance where I escalated it to ethics myself did it result in the employee being investigated and eventually removed from the company. If you have trouble... you probably have to escalate it to ethics yourself. Management might 'try' to help but likely won't do anything about complaints unless they are a great manager (semi-hard to come by here). I call this place my golden handcuffs. My job is okay, I wish I could do more philanthropic/meaningful work... but the benefits and opportunity here is its own world and I'll probably never leave.

Pros

Great benefits, free coffee, free safety equipment

Cons

Awful management practices, safety requirements are overbearing and missing the point, and the workload is painfully mismanaged. No sense in rushing to get parts done when you KNOW there will be nothing left to do for 8 months out of the year because it happens EVERY year.

Pros

benefits are decent - parental leave, health care, employee discounts

Cons

work/life balance is not great in some roles. Very old-school management culture pushing to go back into the office just to have bodies at desks. management/leadership is not great at recognizing employees for achievements.
