Pros

* Product is genuinely the best in the industry, and it is nice working on something that you are proud of * Employees at Boomi are brilliant, hardworking, helpful, and talented * Generous vacation policy, decent benefits

Cons

* Executive leadership leaves a lot to be desired, frequently changes direction, and has low accountability * Priorities are never consistent, leading to limited ability to deliver output before the next priority shift * HR's information delivery is often lackluster, incomplete, or missing entirely, leading to confusion or misunderstanding of company policies, which frequently and quietly change without warning * Tenured, respected, and supportive lower-level managers are frequently removed from their positions * Remaining lower-level management does not actively support or defend the growth of individuals, opting instead to prioritize the constantly shifting organizational goals and minimize costs * Employees are encouraged to raise concerns or issues to management of all levels, but are frequently targeted or chastised for doing so

Culture nosedive, no accountability or transparency from c-suite

Pros

Had upward mobility at company

Cons

Over the past year the culture at Boomi has taken a complete nosedive. Budget cuts, hiring freeze, massive layoffs, expecting employees to pick up the slack and do the work of 2 or 3 full time employees by being told to "do more with less." HR is completely non-responsive to issues with sexual or professional misconduct. Layoffs caused by mis-spending by the c-suite who then took no verbal or actual accountability for their actions and instead laid off good, longstanding employees to balance the checkbooks.

At Boomi the safety and well-being of our team members are a top priority, and these are serious accusations not reflective of our values or culture. We are not aware of any complaint to HR, the alertline, or Legal about sexual or other misconduct that was not investigated for proper resolution. We encourage you to call our company alertline at 800-513-7270, which is managed by an independent third party, or visit ethics.boomi.com, where team members – past and present – have the option to submit complaints (which can be made anonymously) and to share any level of detail they choose. Additionally, Boomi team members can reach out internally to our legal and HR departments to discuss your concerns. Our company has a strict zero-tolerance policy when it comes to both misconduct and retaliation. We hope to hear directly from you soon.

Not bad because it used to be great.

Pros

The people and culture left over from Dell are the best parts. There are a lot of great legacy people heavily invested in the company. Generous benefits, mid level management are exceptional.

Cons

Corporate communication silos are rampant, people are working in parallels. Buyers of the company are chiefly focused on their ROI, not people or culture. This is reflected in the new executives, they are deer in the headlights for IPO, it's all they see, and are completely unrelatable. Ex 1: Major layoffs have happened the past few months, in several rounds. No announcements are made until you notice the people have just disappeared. In some cases they'll backfill a laid off role before it even happened. Hiring was done at an irresponsible speed for 12 months, just to lay off many of them. Ex. 2: They skipped on most promotions this spring even though the team worked tirelessly to stand up Boomi apart from Dell, favoring to hire new talent instead. People were leaving left and right.
