was a telecommuter which is rare for this company; pay was great, but could not contractually sell any work.

Pay great; some great people working there, I think, only thing is, I only mey a few; I telecommuted, and was in the dark on a lot of things. On the contract I was on, I could not sell work or business, which was great, no selling, but it was severly held against me and others in my telecommute situation come appraisal time. Liberal time off as a telecommuter, work 8 hours, no set time, so freedom to come and go at home as you wish, as long as you make the occasional teleconference and have your cell phone with you. Company and client did not give us a lot to do as far as useful work when we were not traveling to do actual client work, which was fine with everyone.

Cons

Our manager was jealous ofour telecommute positions and treated it as an on-going sibling riverly. If you had a pay, time card, accounting problem, you always had to go through the help desk and hope someone got your message and would call you back. When my contract ended, I was told to expect word soon. The dorks delivered a FedEx overnight mail letter with deliver on Saturday April 30 on it, the day the contract ended, which was a Saturday, and alluded to a discussion that had not yet occured yet on 2 may 2011. Also, I was assigned an HR person to help me find work in BAH...they did not do anything to help me out. Had I known how little they would have done I would have worked harder on my own to find work in the Company, but was told, no, HR will help you, what a crock of lies and BS.

If you are a current employee and If you expect to be able to apply for additional positions you may as well forget it. If BAH hires you in a position, thats where you will stay. Management makes too much money off the Employee Referral Program. You can become burnt out in the same position after a period of time so if you plan on applying for a position, you better make sure the position is where you want to be for the term of your employment with BAH. BAH doesnt offer much time off and expects you to work alot of OT!
