Pros

Booz Allen Hamilton has brand recognition based on the old Booz Allen culture (that which existed prior to the Booz&Co split).

Cons

Work-life balance and career advancement depends on your team (1. how visible and exciting your project is 2. if your team - - or management - - has your best interest in mind 3. who is in your teams extended network.)

Pros

Flexible work schedule 401K Quality Co-Workers Great for those desiring to become Project Managers

Cons

BAH is a classic pyramid scheme. In order to move up you have to develop business and build a team under you which creates plenty of internal politics. Emphasis is placed on Marketing and Business Growth. It is like a bunch of used car salesmen running around telling people what they want to hear. No real advancement for technical staff. One career model for both technical and non-technical employees which they are assessed against during the annual assessment. Different teams within the company compete for staff and bid on the same work. In my opinion it was an extremely disfunctional organization. Employees are also expected to find their own billable work within the company, sometimes upon initial hire. I cannot speak for the entire company, this was the experience I had. If you come from one of the many Defense Contractors in the DC area, you will be in for a "culture shock".
