      Pros

      Great work life balance. 360 process is very fair and allows for a wide variety of input on performance reviews. Senior management seems to be in touch and adapts well to changes in the market.

      Cons

      Has similar problems that any organization its size has. Thought the company promotes moving around, it is easier said than done. A lot of staff augmentation instead of true consulting work.

      Pros

      The pay is good, better than most of the competitors and the benefits are very good. They put 10% of your pay into your 401K regardless of how much you contribute. My peers were some of the best and brightest people I have ever worked with. I worked at a Booz Allen Office, but not in McLean so location was great for me, with a short commute. The leadership of your team determines your experience, good leadership equals good experience. Also your team determines what you work on. If your team has work they dedicate who does what, since billability is king

      Cons

      Not sure of criteria for promotion to Senior Associate. There are no written criteria are for promotion to Senior Associate or the higher levels verbal guidance is from word of mouth from peers and is difficult to find and can change at a moments notice. Some make it and some do not. I know it is based on getting and maintaining business, but the goal line moves based on if you have a mentor. I had a mentor and I made it, but could not explain to others what they needed to do except go get business and do good work. If your team does not have work, you will be farmed out to a team with work to keep billability up, regardless of your skills and desires. If you work on government site it is hard to keep connected to Booz Allen. After a while you will be a extension of the government staff.

      Pros

      Booz Allen offers great benefits and allows their employees the opportunity to work on mulitiple projects. The team I work on is great and unfortunately I cannot speak for other teams.

      Cons

      There are too many upper managers and it become chaotic. Sometimes it can be very top heavy with limited guidance at the bottom.
