Lots of intern, make it fun. Cool projects. Great HR. Great area.

Pay could be higher for housing. Cafeteria would have been nice. A more defined project.

Co-op

Pros

+ Work life balance + Friendly atmosphere Everything I liked about Bosch Charleston was related to the people there. Most of the engineers there are friendly and enjoyable to talk to but are good about not bothering you when you have work to do. There's a huge co-op presence, like 20-30, so you always have something to do and it's easy to make friends if you're coming from a far away school and don't know a lot of people. Bosch also donates most of their profits to charitable organizations and they do a lot of community outreach if that's important to you.

Cons

I really had to chase my bosses down and harass people to get projects to do, and even then a lot of them were typical intern jobs like laminating stuff, cleaning white boards, and buying snacks for plant visitors. The only projects I did that were really related to my major was following around other engineers and taking notes on what they were doing. I want to emphasize that this was my own personal experience. They also have a LOT of needlessly complicated procedures for simple things. There is a lot of redundant bureaucracy that just makes it hard to get tasks done.
